I'm very excited that you're thinking about scheduling, or have already scheduled a portrait session!

Portrait sessions can be done pretty much anywhere you have access to. Spots to consider include your home and yard, a favorite park or playground or (my favorite) the beach. Let me know if you need help deciding where you'd like your session to occur.

Consider your location and the types of portraits you would like when you select your clothes - formal, informal or somewhere in between. If more than one person is being photographed, we suggest wearing similar or complimentary colors.

If there are children included, schedule your appointment for a time during the day when they're normally awake and cheerful. Bring toys they can play with while being photographed and toys you can use to get their attention from outside of the frame.

The actual photography can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the number of people, the types of poses, and the mood of the person being photographed.

After the shoot, I will select up to 100 of the best images. All of these photos will be edited (cropped, color corrected, minor blemish removal, etc) and uploaded to your own webpage that you can share with family and friends. You can order prints directly from this page.
